On the Previous Palin Post…

Date September 30, 2008 | 12:51 AM

Less than an hour ago, I posted the portion of Katie Couric’s interview of Sarah Palin that encompasses the now failed federal bailout plan. In contrast, I also posted a video of Miss South Carolina attempting to answer a question about maps. While I am not in any way convinced of Governor Palin’s readiness to be a candidate for any political position above that which she currently holds (and not necessarily even that), further reflection upon that previous post has led me to remove it. Quite frankly, it was pretty mean to compare the two. It wasn’t necessary. I know it already made it into the RSS readers, so you likely saw it. The way I see it, my tone in this political season has taken a turn toward the negative. I’ve started tearing down instead of discussing positive alternatives to the options we have available. Instead of taking cheap shots, I should be offering constructive criticism.

Consider this an apology for that negative tone, and a public commitment to try to bring a more Christ-like attitude toward the political season.

You’re so awesome. and I thought of that comparison too when I saw the interview and I’m *kind of* voting for McCain (please still be friends with me, I have my reasons). but don’t beat yourself up about it. You just got wrapped up in something you’re passionate about and there’s nothing wrong with that, especially since you’re trying to merge Christ-like attitudes and politics! I love you….just wanted to let you know I thought the same thing.
