Glen Rose Summit Recap…
December 22, 2007 | 1:38 AM
That’s what I’m calling it– even though all I did was spend five and a half days with two of my greatest friends. Our meetings went great… if you can call them meetings. They worked Sunday through Wednesday, and spent almost all of Thursday on the town in Fort Worth. Ah what a busy, busy time. But we got a few things covered. The agenda looked like this:
- Determine a people group
- Determine a place in the US or Canada
- Keller or East Fort Worth
- Determine when we want to be on the field
- Decide what roles we’ll take in the church plant
- Discuss being assessed
- Settle the alcohol issue
- Go over the Heart Attitudes
I’d say we easily settled about three of those (5, 7, and 8), and got significantly closer toward the rest. Here’s a hint at #2.

I’ll leave you with a question I was asked the other day at a church planting forum at NOBTS. If you had three years to ensure that your message, your ministry remained, what would it look like? This is the question we are asking ourselves now. Feel free to pray with us over these cities and our future in one of them.

just a quick FYI: the north needs the truth badly, man. there is little experiential knowledge about Jesus Christ and, almost as bad, SEC football…
interested in the “alcohol issue”… email me what’s up…

you’re not kidding (but they’re not SEC people… we agree on southern miss because we’re both mississippians, but that’s it).
on a serious note… the alcohol issue… we’re going with NAMB/Nehemiah. so you know the rules- no drinking. but it doesn’t matter because none of us drink anyway. it’s never been an issue for us, so that was a pretty easy decision.
