Days 16 & 17: There And Back Again…
July 9, 2007 | 11:50 PM
Day 16 had me all around the DFW Metroplex. It began in Weatherford, west of Fort Worth, and ended at Happy Hill Farms in Glen Rose with Britt and Michaela. Britt, Kayla, two of their friends, and our NOBTS diasporates Brent and Laura (Britt, Brent, and I lived in Lipsey Hall our first year at NOBTS, and Laura went to school with us too.) had lunch at Freebird’s in the South Hulen Rd. area. Not a bad place for burritos or quesadillas. From there, I drove up to Denton to visit Clint and talk about The Village Denton and catch up. Around 6, I returned southward to Glen Rose.
The next morning, I left Glen Rose for New Orleans, this time via Shreveport instead of Houston. It saved me a couple hours, but it was much less scenic. It rained a little bit, but the Rain-X windshield cleaner I picked up in Granbury saved me a lot of trouble. I got back to New Orleans around 8, and moved Kyle back into my apartment for the next two weeks.
I’m writing this now from Mobile. I came back here last night to wash clothes and drop some things off. Tonight I’ll go back to New Orleans, and then I hope to manage a few days in the same bed.

Did you visit Pecan Manor?

Kevin, why would I visit SWBTS? My future rests in the hands of a particular pastor in Keller, Texas, although he doesn’t know it yet.
