Greer-Heard Forum 2007…
February 26, 2007 | 12:34 AM
Friday night I was treated to a pretty interesting discussion. This year’s Greer Heard Forum brought together many famous philosophers, scientists, and theologians to discuss The Future of Atheism. It is in its third year. The first year I saw NT Wright (Bishop of Durham) face off against John Dominic Crossan (former chair of the Jesus Seminar) discuss the resurrection of Jesus. The second year had Michael Ruse discuss evolution with William Dembski (who coined the term Intelligent Design). This year we returned to NOBTS’ campus to watch Alister McGrath (the evangelical) debate the Future of Atheism with Daniel Dennett (the atheist).
I’m not going to discuss what was said because I’d be the most unqualified person to attempt it. What I can say is that it’s always an interesting event to watch great minds discuss incredibly complex concepts. As Dr. Kelley (our seminary president) said, it’s always nice that evangelical Southern Baptists are open to discuss serious and complex ideas with those who disagree. Right on. This post was brought to you by Wikipedia.

Adam, I told you others could explain it better. One day I’ll have a post entirely filled with links. The entire post- all links. Not one giant link, but every phrase, concept, or whatever. Completely outsourced. That’ll be fun.
And probably ridiculous.

one time i made a post in which i found random links for random words within my post… just to see if people clicked on the links. i got a few funny comments from folks who viewed the links and wondered what was going on.
