Real Life Apologetics…

Date December 31, 2005 | 3:01 AM

This summer I was on a youth trip and one of the girls, about 17, asked a pretty hard line of questions. This is basically what she asked:

Why does God need us to worship him? If God is so powerful, so great, then why would he need anybody to worship him? And if God created us to worship him, then he must be really arrogant. He must be pretty full of himself if he created us just to worship him. So God must be arrogant. And if God is arrogant, then why should I worship him? And if God created me to worship him, and God is arrogant, why doesn’t he make me worship him?

In the time that I’m around and able, I’m going to play the part of that girl, and ask more questions related to your answers. Oh, and don’t necessarily answer with Scriptures.
