The Last Few Days…
February 23, 2005 | 5:02 PM
Well I got sick. It hit me hard Sunday night, even though it began sometime Saturday night. Straight rocked me on Monday. I even had to leave class early- and an 8-3 is not something you can easily miss much of. Tuesday I struggled through classes. Today I made it to my meeting and my one class pretty well. I’m feeling better now. But Monday was a doozie.
Sunday afternoon a bunch of us went to UNO and threw frisbees and footballs around for a while. We lost Brent’s football. It’s somewhere on top of a UNO building if anybody is brave enough or spiderman enough to go get it.
Ooh yeah. Monday night. So Monday I took some medicine. I took Aleve Cold and Sinus when I woke up. And then 6 hours later (I thought it was 6 hours, not 12) I took another one. Then later that evening I took Alka Seltzer Cold and Sinus. And 4 hours after that I took two shots of Nyquil equivilent. Needless to say, none of them worked. At 9:09 PM I took the Nyquil. At 10:24 PM I got out of bed since I had essentially laid there awake for an hour or so. To everybody’s amazement I was lucid. They had guaranteed that I’d be out like crazy for the night. They were wrong. Me and meds… yeah.
We found out Monday that Rob might not have a tumor on his bladder, but now it could be his appendix. Thursday he goes in for surgery. We’ll know more soon, God willing.
Been getting some books in that Dad ordered for me. Which led me to want to put a quick list of what I’ve read this semester outside of school work on here. So here goes.
Wild at Heart by John Eldredge
The Barbarian Way by Erwin McManus
Wow. That’s not nearly as huge as it seemed when I decided to make the list. But I’m reading Waking the Dead by John Eldredge now. I’m seeing a trend in these books to be honest. I’m ok with that. Aiight. I’m out. Peace.
