Prayer Requests from Last Week…

Date January 29, 2005 | 6:27 PM

Last week Britt and I met three people. I’m asking for those who read this to pray for these three people. All three are probably not believers.

Curly, who lives in the Seventh Ward. He is someone we want to follow up with and meet again to share the gospel with.

Wendy, who works in the French Quarter and has dropped out of college due to financial constraints. She wants to go back to UNO. Pray that we can follow up with her and maybe even see at UNO one day finishing school and working with us.

Corey, who works at New Orleans Hamburger in Metairie almost to Kenner. He’s trying to get his son back. We know that God is in his shoes- wanting His son back- and we pray that Corey would be reconciled both to God and to his family.

I read an article by Derek Webster, a missionary in Austria/Switzerland. The link is here. It’s on the SBC and young pastors. Check it out.

I was talking to Katie today and mentioned that as it stands now, my plan is this: 1. Finish Seminary in the next 2 and a half years. 2. Join the IMB as an apprentice in Western Europe. 3. Around the age of 30, start full time in Amsterdam with either the IMB or whoever will take me.

Having said that, I’ll believe it when it happens. I have faith that God will use me, since He has shown His faithfulness and His dedication to me throughout my life. Even the times when I don’t see it. So I’m here til I’m here and I’m there til I’m there and however it all works out, I know that I will never lead a boring wasteful life again. I have been reminded constantly throughout the week of Paul’s words to the Romans.

Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
