On Toes and Community…

This past week I’ve had some toe issues. Man something is jacked up on my right big toe and it’s making things hard to walk. It hurts. I tried a little surgery on it, but that didn’t work because I am not man enough to fix it. It hurts. The “pain is in the mind” thing didn’t help. So I will allow it to linger some time longer.

Element went well on Tuesday. We got a small but diverse group there, and that’s good. It seems to be steadily rising some each week. Yesterday I was informed of the possibility of going to China to teach english for a couple weeks this summer- in Inner Mongolia. Chinese Mongols. I’ve already worked with Russian Mongols. Neato. Tonight our Community Group met at UNO’s BCM. Kyle wasn’t there cuz he went home for a wedding. Dave was there. It was a good time. I can’t wait to get stuff going with that. I’m excited.

Now that I’m in my own room (goodbye Yohan), I am sleeping better and am resoundingly happier. Things are good now. Lipsey 212 is my new residence. Hooray. I moved in last Monday and have gotten things situated. Even got some pictures on my wall. Looking at adding more. That’ll be nice.

I’m probably not going home this weekend. That means I’ll wash here at NOBTS for the first time. That’ll be neat. I just have to find the laundry room. That’ll be an experience.

Auburn at Tennessee Saturday at 6:45 CT. All Auburn, All Orange.

Tuesday we take the group picture for our Lipsey T-Shirts. “Plateaued and Declining” is our theme. Those who go to NOBTS will understand. Thanks to Dr. Kelley our fearless leader and president of the Seminary for his continual beating of that phrase into our heads.

I think that’s all for now.
